Putera Parthama is the Director General of Watershed Management and Protected Forests. Previously he was Director General of Sustainable Management of Production Forests at the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Indonesia. He served the government in a number of different capacities, including as Acting Director General of the Forestry Research and Development Agency (FOERDIA) and senior advisor on economic affairs and international trade. Additionally, he was the Indonesian focal point at the Forest Investment Program and Indonesian ASOF (Asean Senior Officer on Forestry) Leader. Parthama earned his Bachelor degree from Gadjah Mada University, Indonesia and his Master and Doctorate at Michigan State University, US.
