Heitor is a specialist and activist in ecological economics and conservation finance, working at the intersection of research and policy for finance, biodiversity, and human rights. He works in the design, implementation, and evaluation of socio-environmental policies, with experience in projects involving economic incentives and financial solutions to support and develop products and services that enhance biodiversity and strengthen resilient and sustainable livelihoods. He also engages in advocacy at the United Nations Conventions on Biological Diversity (CBD) and Climate Change (UNFCCC), as well as the Global Environment Facility (GEF). He is an Economist at Conservation Strategy Fund (CSF) and Policy Co-coordinator at the Global Youth Biodiversity Network (GYBN).
