Freddy M. Bisetsa is the Founder and Executive Director of Women Concern (WOCO) and Coordinator of GLFx Kivu, a Global Landscape Forum chapter. With over a decade of expertise in gender and development, program management, and training, he focuses on landscape management and ecopreneurship, empowering women while promoting sustainable land use and ecosystem restoration. Through community-based initiatives, Freddy fosters local ownership, driving poverty alleviation and economic resilience. He has worked across the Great Lakes region, integrating gender equity, peacebuilding, and environmental sustainability. Holding a Master’s in Gender and Development, Freddy champions women’s leadership in land management. Fluent in Swahili, French, and English, he is recognized for his grassroots-driven impact in environmental and social transformation.
