Franziska Hollmann has been working for DEG – Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH (member of KfW) for 18 years and has more than 11 years experience in structured financing of agribusiness, forestry and food projects. As of today, as Director Corporates Africa, she is responsible for new business development, structuring and managing a portfolio of corporate clients in Africa and Latin America with a total financing volume of 700 mln EUR. She is heading an international team located at DEG’s headquarter in Cologne and five DEG-offices in Africa and Latin America. Focus industries are agribusiness, FMCG, pharma & health care, tourism and manufacturing.
From 2011 until June 2015, as Director Agribusiness, she headed a team of specialized Investment managers analysing and contracting project and corporate financing for all sectors of the agricultural value chain worldwide including bioenergy. During the financial crisis in Argentina (2000 – 2005) Mrs Hollmann has been successfully managing a portfolio of 25 corporate clients in the Mercosur region with a total financing of 200 m. EUR in different sectors (logistics, manufacturing and services, financial sector and agribusiness). Before joining DEG she started her professional career in 1996 at Deutsche Ausgleichsbank managing financing programs for business start-ups in Chile, Vietnam and Albania. Franziska Hollmann studied economics, politics, history and Spanish (Diploma in regional sciences Latin America) at Cologne University and University of Merida, Venezuela.
