A Melbourne native, Fi has trained as a lawyer and journalist in Australia, West Africa and South Asia. Previous experience includes founding a social enterprise supporting conflict-affected silk weavers in Assam, digital advocacy at Human Rights Watch in San Francisco and project management at the Manipur Women Gun Survivors Network in New Delhi. Fi was granted the Prime Minister’s Endeavour Award for her work gathering extra-judicial execution testimonies in Northeast India’s conflict zones, and was nominated for the Chief Justice’s Award for Excellence in Community Service for her graduate thesis on women’s access to justice. She holds a BA in International Studies, a Graduate Certificate in Communications and a Juris Doctor.
