Fernando has over 10 years of experience in biodiversity conservation and strategic management of natural capital. He is currently the Conservation and Climate Finance Manager at Sitawi, where he leads initiatives related to the development of financial and economic solutions for conservation and sustainable management of biodiversity and addressing climate challenges.
Before joining Sitawi, he worked at the Boticário Group Foundation, developing actions in the field of biodiversity economics and impact investing. He also worked at TECPAR as a supervisor of certification of forests and biodiversity. Fernando is a forestry engineer, who graduated from the Federal University of Paraná, and has a master’s degree in Agriculture and Silviculture, from the University of Eastern Finland, Joensuu, Finland; and a Master’s in Ecology and Forest Management, from Albert-Ludwigs Universität, Freiburg, Germany.
