Lawyer, PhD in Political and Environmental Science at PROCAM/USP. She is currently Director of the Forestry Department of the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change, where she leads the agenda for the recovery of native vegetation and forest management. Before that, she worked for 20 years in leadership positions in the forestry agenda, such as: Director of Forests, Land Use and Agriculture at WRI Brazil; Latin American Director of the TFA – Tropical Forest Alliance, hosted by the World Economic Forum; Director of FSC Brazil – Forest Stewardship Council from 2010-2015. Before her more focused work in the forestry sector, she worked on the solidarity economy and fair-trade agendas, in organizations such as FACES do Brasil and Instituto Kairós.
