Esther Maina is a Geospatial Developer and Remote Sensing Expert specializing in food systems and natural resource management. She leads projects that develop innovative geospatial big data analytics and visualization solutions to support decision-making in agriculture, environmental monitoring, and disaster risk reduction. She is a member of the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS), African Women in GIS, Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (Graduate Member), and the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC), where she contributes to the Space Technology for Earth Applications Working Group. Esther has proudly represented Kenya in several global platforms, including the UNOOSA Space4Water Stakeholders Meeting, the UN Symposium on Climate Change, and the UNOOSA Space4Women initiative.
