Erik is an Ecologist and Natural Resource manager with four years’ experience in savanna ecosystems management and four years’ experience in promotion of agroforestry technologies in displacement settings in northern Uganda. Through his work in the refugee settlements, his team has identified appropriate technologies for refugees and host communities. Erik has published on the effects of large mammalian herbivores and termites on tree communities in the African savanna, and on opportunities for building nutrition sensitive non-wood forest products value chains in northern Uganda.
