Eric Francis Acanakwo

Erik Francis Acanakwo is a nature conservation enthusiast with a background in agroforestry and natural resource management. Erik is the Uganda Country Representative for CIFOR-ICRAF -Uganda Country office, where he leads resource mobilization, builds and maintains strategic networks, while supervising ongoing CIFOR-ICRAF interventions. Erik is overseeing interesting landscape restoration efforts in displacement settings; livelihoods, restoration and carbon programming efforts across Uganda and trials on Performance-Based Contracting as an avenue for increasing tree permanence in contrasting farming landscapes across the country. He strives to scale out tried and tested technologies to address global environmental challenges.
