Emma Thomson

Emma leads the Forest 500 and Deforestation Action Tracker projects within Global Canopy’s Corporate Performance program, bringing greater accountability to the companies and financial institutions in forest-risk commodity supply chains. This includes developing the assessment methodologies, delivering the annual reports and engaging with the companies and financial institutions involved. She also led the development of the Finance Sector Roadmap – which received UK government backing at COP26 – and guidance for pension funds, offering a step-by-step guide to help them work towards deforestation-free portfolios.
