Eike Lüdeling leads the Department of Horticultural Sciences at the University of Bonn. From 2010-2018, he worked at World Agroforestry (ICRAF) on anticipating the impacts of climate change and applying decision analysis methods to enhance the effectiveness of agricultural research for development. One of the main research interests in Eike’s group is the establishment of holistic analysis approaches in development-supporting research that allow dealing with the complexity and data scarcity often encountered in development settings. Taking development decisions as starting point for research, the group strives to capture all relevant information, account for all important risks and uncertainties and use simulation modelling to provide development decision-makers with customized information tailored specifically for the questions that need answers for.
