Eduardo Mansur, Brazilian, holds a B.Sc, Forestry (Paraná, Brazil) and M.Sc. Forest Economics, (Helsinki, Finland). Joined FAO as social forestry expert in 1995 at community forestry project in the Andes (Quito). In 1997, transferred as chief technical advisor, FAO Mozambique. In 2002, moved to Rome as project coordinator, then as forestry policy officer. Moved to Accra as senior forestry officer for Africa (2007). Between 2008 and 2012, Mr Mansur was Assistant Director of International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO, Japan). In March 2012, returned to FAO Rome as Director, Forest Assessment and Management Division. In 2016, was nominated Director, Land and Water Division.
