Hajar is an Earth Observation senior specialist at mundialis GmbH & Co. KG. Her expertise comprises satellite Synthetic Aperture RADAR (SAR) and optical images processing and analysis for forest monitoring, agroforestry and land cover/land use sectors in the climate change context.
Based in Bonn, Germany, mundialis GmbH & Co.KG specializes in the analysis of remote sensing data and the processing of voluminous geodata using high-performance data centers (actinia) for various Earth Observation applications. mundialis GmbH & Co. Before joining mundialis, Hajar has worked for several international institutions in the context of REDD+, Zero Deforestation, forest concessions and forest conservation projects. Along with SAR and optical imagery analysis, she was also involved in the field of quality and accuracy assessment of forest maps in the Congo basin in the context of REDD+. She has a master degree from Ecole Nationale des Sciences Geographique (Paris), and a Ph.D in SAR Remote Sensing for Forest Monitoring in the climate change context from University Paris Est, Paris.
