Bishwa Nath Oli

Dr. Oli has previously served as Secretary at the Ministry of Livestock Development and Ministry of Population and Environment of the Government of Nepal. Dr. Oli has worked as a Director-General of the Department of Forests during 2013-2014. He received Ph.D. in Forestry from the University of Copenhagen. Dr. Oli has more than two dozen research papers published in national and international journals. He has worked as Council Member to Asia Pacific Forestry Network for Sustainable Forest Management, and also worked as a National Focal Point to the Convention on Biological Diversity in 2013 and has been working as a National Focal Point to the UNFCCC and UN Environment from Nepal. He is a vice-chair of the Asia Pacific Forestry Commission.
