M Mochire Mwenge is a Congolese activist for the rights of indigenous peoples and the environment. He is Focal Point of the REPALEAC funds, North Kivu Provincial Director of PIDP (Programme Intégré pour le Développement du Peuple Pygmée au Kivu), Senior Advisor to ANAPAC (Alliance Nationale d’Appui et de Promotion des Aires et Territoires du Patrimoine Autochtone et Communautaire), Focal Point for the North Kivu province of the Réseau des Populations Autochtones et Locales pour la Conservation des Ecosystèmes Forestiers en République Démocratique du Congo, (REPALEF-RDC) and Member of the Conseil Consultatif des Forêts, North Kivu Province. He has led several projects to defend and promote the rights of indigenous peoples, access to and security of land rights, the environment, advocacy and lobbying, as well as several training sessions organised by the PIDP and other organisations for indigenous peoples and local communities.
