Diego is a consultant on Nature-based Solutions (NBS) for WWF International. He is also co-leader of the SBN Thematic Group of the IUCN Commission on Ecosystem Management. After graduating with his bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, together with his classmates he founded the NGO Ficus Peru, which since 2015 has been promoting sustainability in Lima. He has been working for five years on issues of urban forests, ecology and conservation and currently on issues related to ecosystem services and SbN. He is also a member of gaia-liNc, an organization of Latin American and European youth in Germany that supports with environmental education projects in rural schools in Loja and Zamora in Ecuador, and in Leymebamba in Peru.Diego is a consultant on Nature-based Solutions (NBS) for WWF International.
