Daniela Chiriac is a Senior Analyst in CPI’s London office where she leads the Sustainable Agriculture for Smallholders stream of the Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance. She is also involved in establishing the new Southern Africa Program of the Lab. Daniela has strong expertise and interest in climate-smart agriculture and food systems in developing countries. In 2019, she led CPI’s analytical work to develop and refine the West African Initiative for Climate-Smart Agriculture, a blended finance mechanism, along with the Commission of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID). At CPI, Daniela also manages the Lab’s partnership with the International Fund for Agricultural Development. She holds an MSc in Environmental Economics from the University of London as well as a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Bucharest.
