An environmental engineer by training, Daniel is a senior environmental specialist at the World Bank’s Environment, Natural Resources and Blue Economy Global Practice. He is currently based at the World Bank country office in Beijing, China. He previously led the World Bank’s environment portfolio in Tanzania, and worked with the Bank’s climate change department in Washington, D.C., and on environment practice in the Latin America and Caribbean region.
Daniel’s interest is helping partner countries solve complex sustainability challenges. He is passionate about sustainable development, and applies his environmental engineering skills to ecosystems and biodiversity, coastal management, environmental pollution, and climate change. He holds a PhD from the University of Manchester on Atmospheric Physics, and a Master’s degree on chemical/environmental engineering.
