Dan Friess is an Associate Professor at the Department of Geography, National University of Singapore, and the Principal Investigator of the Mangrove Lab. His team researches the ecosystem services of mangroves—such as carbon—how they are impacted by deforestation and sea level rise, and how we can use ecosystem services to promote the conservation and restoration of mangroves. Dan’s research is conducted throughout Southeast Asia, Madagascar and New Caledonia.
