Dr. Damdindorj BATMUNKH is Director-General of Livestock Policy Implementation and Coordination at the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry in Mongolia. He has been with the Ministry for over 25 years, serving as Director in various departments. He completed his PhD in Hydrogeology at the Mongolian Technical University in 2001. Dr. Batmunkh also heads the national steering group for the Mongolian call for a UN-designatedInternational Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists.
