Corrie Mauldin is the Director of East Africa for Trees for the Future (TREES), a U.S.-based international NGO which works to restore ecosystems and livelihoods at the landscape scale through multi-year Forest Garden projects. These projects are initiated and implemented by TREES field staff in conjunction with smallholder farmers, national organizations and local government officials. Mrs. Mauldin has worked for various environmental NGOs in Washington D.C. and Africa, as well as the U.S. Department of Interior and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). In the last 20 years since graduating with degrees in biology and environmental science, and living as a Peace Corps Volunteer in a forest village of Cameroon, she has focused on developing, implementing and evaluating policy and programs in organic farming, wildlife conservation and agroforestry.
