Claudio Angelo is a science writer-turned-activist based in Brasília, Brazil. He is the chief communications officer of the Climate Observatory, a network of 77 NGOs in Brazil. Mr. Angelo spent the last two decades reporting on environmental issues, from Amazon deforestation to polar meltdown. He is a former Science editor at daily newspaper Folha de S.Paulo, and had bylines in vehicles such as Nature magazine and Scientific American. He is the author of 2016 book Death Spiral, about climate change, awarded as science book of the year in Brazil. He plays the bass and thinks he’s funny.
