Celina Kin Yii Yong

She is the UNDP Climate and Forests team’s Regional Stakeholder Engagement Specialist and Regional Technical Advisor for REDD+ in the Asia-Pacific region. Under support from the UN-REDD Programme and the World Bank’s Forest Carbon Partnership Facility, she supports countries to strengthen enabling conditions that will promote and implement robust stakeholder engagement in REDD+ processes. She works closely with indigenous peoples and the civil society to ensure REDD+ is socially inclusive and gender responsive. Her background also includes safeguards, forest governance, grievance redress, mediation, community forestry, forest certification and timber legality schemes, and capacity building for forest industries.
