Caroline holds a Master of Philosophy in Environmental Studies and Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Moi University, Kenya. She has also undertaken several professional courses on Water and Sanitation, Renewable Energy, Integrated Water Resource Management, Gender, Energy, Peace Building and Conflict Transformation and Environmental Impact assessment. She is currently PhD student in Agricultural Extension and Rural Development.

Caroline has over 15 years’ experience in project management and implementation in the sectors of Renewable Energy, Water and Sanitation, Gender and Governance. She currently manages a project aiming at introducing renewable energy technologies in the tea industry (tea farmers and factories) in Kenya.  Previously she managed the Renewable Energy Sector Programme of SNV in Kenya. She is adept in design, implementation, management of environmental related programmes notably: conservation, integrated water resources management and renewable energy programmes focusing on energy access and energy policy advocacy. She has experience working with private sector and government at the county and national levels. In 2017, Caroline won the Women in Energy Community Leadership Award.
