Burnice Karimi Ireri holds an honours Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science, Egerton University, Njoro, Kenya. She is passionate about environmental management and research in ecosystems, climate change, environmental education and awareness. Burnice has eight years working experience with national and international organizations in environmental research, its management and sustainable development.
During these years, she has been involved in environmental research leading to improved water conservation and carbon sequestration services in agricultural landscapes in Kenya. Burnice is a registered Environmental Impact Assessment and Environmental Audits Associate Expert and currently advancing her career through further studies in Master of Science degree in Environmental Science from the from Egerton University, Njoro, Kenya, assessing potential of payment schemes for improved water services in water catchments and ultimately conserving the environment in Embu, Kenya and Master of Science in Geographical Information Systems from Lund University, Sweden.
