Doctor Luisa Vega is the director of Wajari and Doctor Beatriz Ramírez is part of ABC, both are local NGOs for development that investigate the carbon and hydrologic dynamics within the Orinoco river basin and potential impacts of their change on the conservation and sustainable use of its diverse ecosystems. Among these ecosystems, they focus on its vast hyperstational savannahs, and their regional in-off site impacts of land-use change. Particularly, in the hydrological feedback between savannahs and tropical montane cloud forests.
