Mr. Batbaatar Bat is Mongolia’s Minister of Environment and Climate Change and a leading voice for environmental policy and international cooperation. With over two decades of public service, he spearheaded Mongolia’s landmark land tenure law granting every citizen the right to own 0.07 hectares-advancing equity, land governance, and sustainable resource use. As Chairman of the Mongolian Green Party, he promotes development grounded in environmental values. He also chairs the National Committee for the UNCCD COP 17, which Mongolia will host in 2026, positioning it as a platform for uniting governments, civil society, and the private sector around global resilience and restoration.
