Anne Fidelis Itubo

Anne Fidelis Itubo is a dedicated and experienced senior conservator of forests. She is the Head of Participatory Forest Management Division in Kenya Forest Service, a state corporation. She obtained a Master of Science in Forest Science and Forest Ecology in Georg August University Gottingen Germany. She has published research including Power dynamics within Community Forestry with examples from Kenya (2011).

She has an experience of 27 years in sustainable forest management and conservation, practice and optimizing forest resources for ecological integrity and economic growth focusing on community livelihood improvement. Anne is the Focal point in Integrated Landscape Management for Conservation and Restoration of the Mt Elgon ecosystem in Western Kenya, a FOLUR Kenya project supported by the Food and Agricultural Organization of United Nations and Global Environmental Facility 7th Cycle.
