Analyn is a true Siargao native with a heart as big as the island itself. A nurse by profession, Analyn eventually found herself drawn back to her hometown to reconnect with her roots and help her community thrive. She taught herself to farm, turning to the land as a way to build a more sustainable life in her community.
In 2013, she founded Bayatakan Farm, Siargao’s first women-led natural farming association. Through this association, she created a space for women in agriculture and advocated for nature-based practices long before they became a buzzword. Her leadership and commitment have inspired a generation of farmers across the island.
Today, as an award-winning farmer, co-founder and Farm Director of Lokal Lab, Analyn supports farmers and local producers through education, collaboration, and hands-on experience.
