Amina Aden Maalim is currently a research scientist working with Kenya Forestry Research Institute (KEFRI). Based in Garissa office but works in the whole Northern region in the drylands of Kenya and accommodates the largest pastoral population in Kenya. She hopes to start a PHD in Climate change adaptation in September at University of Nairobi (with research focusing on Gender, Forestry and Climate change), she also has a Master of Science in Agroforestry from Bangor University, North Wales, United Kingdom and a Bachelor of science in Agroforestry and rural development.
