Alex Villca Limaco is an indigenous from the Uchupiamona Nation, a defender of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and Nature in Bolivia. Expert in community ecotourism, he graduated in Tourism and has a Master’s degree in Tourism Management. Co-founder of Madidi Jungle Ecolodge. He is currently the Communications Secretary of the Association of Indigenous Communities of the Beni, Tuichi & Quiquibey Rivers, who are acting in local resistance to the construction of the Chepete and El Bala mega hydroelectric dams. Spokesman for CONTIOCAP (National Coordination for the Defense of Indigenous and Peasant Lands and Protected Areas of Bolivia).
