Dr. Alban Kisife is a forest economist from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) with a passion for forest resource allocation and management. Since 2015, he has been working with the International Climate Initiative (IKI) of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment (BMU) as adviser and project manager, supervising a range of projects and programmes on the conservation, restoration and sustainable use of natural carbon sinks – REDD+. Peatlands cover a substantial part of his portfolio.
