Nora Berrahmouni

Mrs. Berrahmouni is specialized on Drylands, is the project budget holder and provides overall supervision and oversight to projects. Nora has been involved hands-on in the Great Green Wall Initiative and has recently relocated to Ghana. In her interview at UN Radio, Nora said: “If nothing is done to prevent desertification, it will have very negative effects on people’s livelihoods, on people’s food security and on the environment. There’s no choice. We need to act. The recipes exist. Local communities know how to manage their land. The most important thing is to make sure they get the support they need.”
