Mr. Nieto has more than 18 years of experience in management and environmental legislation; with relevant performances in public institutions, projects of different international cooperation agencies and regional institutions. He has depth knowledge of the environmental management systems of the countries of the Central American region. He has created work networks in all the countries of the region on issues such as: environmental impact assessment, wastewater, access to environmental justice, among others.

Mr. Nieto has participated as a negotiator of international agreements on the environment and climate change. He has depth knowledge of the environmental and sustainable development agreements of the Central American Integration System (SICA), as well as intra- and extraregional free trade agreements, particularly the Central America-United States-Dominican Republic Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA-DR). ) and the Environmental Cooperation Agreement (ACA).

Mr. Nieto also has an extensive knowledge of international agreements on environmental matters signed and ratified by El Salvador as well as, legislation and technical regulations on environmental material, on issues such as, environmental impact assessment, climate change, urban planning and construction, clean production, wastewater, solid waste, energy, concessions and authorizations on hydrocarbons, emissions to the atmosphere, mining, forestry and wildlife among other issues.

Mr. Nieto is married and is a proud father of two beautiful daughters.
