Rakai Forest Landscape Restoration Project

In just two years, Uganda\'s forest landscape dropped by 3 per cent. In 2015, a Joint Water and Environment Sector Review Report put the Uganda\'s forest cover at 11 per cent. The 2017 review indicated that the Uganda forest cover now stands at 9 per cent. Rakai and Kyotera districts are one of the most hit my forest degradation effects. Rakai Environmental Conservation (RECO) together with the local communities together and various partners are taking action to restore the forest landscape. Peo
