The mountain gorilla, a critically endangered species, is one of the two subspecies of the eastern gorilla. In the entire world, they are only found in Uganda, Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo in the national parks; Mgahinga, Bwindi Impenetrable, Virunga and Volcans.The current estimated population of mountain gorillas as of 2018 is 1004 compared to a low 250 in 1981.
