Louis Redshaw is CEO and founder of Redshaw Advisors Ltd a company dedicated to making companies successful in environmental markets. Redshaw Advisors, established in 2014, brings together like-minded customer focussed professionals to inform, advise and train industry, governments and investors. Louis’ professional goal is to enable companies to take control of their financial exposure to environmental markets.
As a Managing Director at Barclays Capital Louis founded, and ran for 10 years, Barclays’ Environmental Markets division that, under his stewardship, became the world’s largest carbon business by traded volume. Louis has been a true ‘first mover’ in the carbon markets driving forward innovative and ground-breaking wholesale market and investor products designed to boost market liquidity. He has served as a Director on the boards of: the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA) for 4 years, the Climate Markets & Investment Association (CMIA) and CDM project developer, Tricorona.
Louis holds an MSc from Imperial College in Environmental Technology and Energy Policy and previously held trading and origination roles at Barclays Capital, EDF Trading, Enron and London Electricity.
