Florian leads the UN-REDD Programme communications and knowledge management team. Previously Florian taught political marketing and public relations at Mexico’s leading private university Tecnologico de Monterrey. Prior he was partner at a PR firm specialized in integrated advocacy communications for sustainable development. As head of the Brussels office he worked for clients such as The World Bank, the Global Fund to fight AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis, the European Commission, the President of Botswana and Avaaz, focusing on strategic communications, branding, online campaigning and media relations. Before joining the non-for-profit world Florian had a career in corporate communications both on the agency and company side, advising the German Federal Ministry of Infrastructure, Microsoft and Citibank on issues management, brand development, media relations and digital strategies.
Florian also serves as UN Environment’s Luxembourg Focal Point.
