Astrid Agostini

REDD+/National Forest Monitoring at FAO

Astrid coordinates FAO’s work on REDD+ and National Forest Monitoring. She has more than 20 years of experience in sustainable agriculture and climate change. After some years in economic consulting, Astrid joined FAO to support investment projects in Africa, Latin America and Asia, in collaboration with IFIs such as the World Bank and IFAD. She has promoted sustainability approaches across the agriculture sectors and coordinated FAO’s climate finance work. Astrid holds an M.A. in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford and an M.Sc. in Environmental and Resource Economics from University College London.
