
Peter Friedrichsen is the General Manager of the Prince Albert Model Forest Association, located in kistapinānihk or Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. He has a Masters of Environment and Sustainability (MES) from the University of Saskatchewan and a background in community-engaged research and development. His roots are in Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta, where he enjoyed the parkland, prairie and mountain landscapes that inspired his 5-year career in sustainability and community engagement.
He is currently working with the Prince Albert Grand Council (PAGC) on Indigenous-led multi-species monitoring and recovery in Saskatchewan, climate change education through the Boreal Bio-logue, and an Indigenous seed collection and saving Guardians program with the Prince Albert National Park. He lives in Prince Albert with his partner Alex and two cats, Qubert and Theory.
