Yanisse Basauri Torres is a Peruvian forest scientist and international development professional specializing in sustainable forest management, environmental policy, and climate governance. An Erasmus Mundus Scholar, she has worked across Europe and Latin America on biodiversity conservation, sustainable supply chains, and community-led forest management. With experience in Austria, Germany, and Peru, her research focuses on the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). Passionate about youth empowerment and Indigenous knowledge, she serves as YPARD’s country representative in Austria and mentors young leaders in climate action and education.
