Ngobi Joel is a Ugandan activist focused on climate, education, and rural development. A graduate in Development Studies from Makerere University, he has worked as a fellow with Building Tomorrow Uganda, enhancing foundational literacy and numeracy for children in rural eastern Uganda. Joel leads several environmental initiatives, including the Green Wipe Initiative, which educates and empowers girls to create eco-friendly wipes, and the Sustain Bin Project, which focuses on waste management and fertilizer production. His current project, the School Forest Initiative, mobilizes schools and communities to establish food forests, promoting biodiversity, environmental awareness, and providing fruit for children and communities. Through these efforts, Joel combines education, sustainability, and community development to drive positive change in Uganda.
