José J. Campos has 40 years of international experience in academic, scientific and technical organizations in sustainable forestry, agriculture and natural resources management. José is passionate about the power of radical collaboration and collective impact to address the environmental and social global challenges. He is the CEO of the Sustainable Agriculture Network (SAN), a global impact network of organizations that orchestrates multistakeholder partnerships with corporate, government, academic, and civil society sectors. He was director general of the Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Centre (CATIE) and has served in the boards of international organizations, including the Centre for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) as chair, the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) and the International Union of Forest Research Organizations (UFRO), and in sustainability task forces for The World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank. He is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Circular Bioeconomy Alliance. José obtained a doctorate degree in forestry from the University of Oxford, a master in natural resources management from CATIE/University of Costa Rica and B.Sc. in forestry from the University of São Paulo, Brazil. He has published over 100 technical and scientific papers.
