Technical Advisor for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) supporting various projects including monitoring forest cover change and associated drivers and mapping agricultural commodities and risk for compliance with deforestation trade regulations. Her passion is developing open source accessible data and tools for improved decision making and conservation. Aurélie has a phD in Natural Sciences from Humboldt Universität-zu-Berlin and a Master’s in Environmental Management from Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment in 2001, following a Bachelor of Science from McGill University in Montreal, Canada in 1999.
