Shamim Zawadi is an environmental Activist and Social Scientist working in different conservation initiatives, Founder and C.E.O of Trees for Birthdays Tanzania and Scotland, a female African Climate Change Youth Ambassador of Hey Campaign supported by UNICEF, and also one of the YOUNGO delegates for the Climate Finance Academy. “I have been fortunate to be one of the Climate Change Female Youth Speaker with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands to Tanzania on Climate Change Exhibition and a TEDx Youth Speaker on Climate Change at the Tedxseaviewyouth themed, “What Now.” The link will be uploaded in two weeks time by TED international. I have also been able to host tree planting events with different embassies here in Tanzania such as US embassy to Tanzania Green Team to celebrate Earth Day as the coordinator as well as the Embassy of Indonesia to Tanzania in celebrating their 77th Independence Day. And now, the Tanzanian Young female Environmental Activist delegate at COY17 (Conference of Youths) and COP27 in Sharm el Sheikh in Egypt.”
