Dr. Sarra Touzi has more than 20 years of experience in integrated natural resources management, climate resilience and multi-stakeholders dialogues facilitation. She successfully led the development and overall management of several projects in the MENA region, both at national and regional scales. She has also taught and contributed to developing technical assessments on water security, climate action planning, climate funds mobilization, and institutional enhancement, supporting countries to accelerate their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and achieve SDGs. Notably, Sarra led the preparation of drought vulnerability maps of Tunisia as well as the development of the National Drought Management Plan of Tunisia. Sarra is a hydraulic and rural engineer. She holds an MSc in water science and a PhD in management sciences, focusing on private sector participation and trade-offs of efficiency and equity in water services.
