Monalisa channels her expertise into landscape restoration with the German NGO Fairventures Worldwide. Besides her work as the Communications Coordinator for Fairventures Worldwide in Indonesia, she is also working with her local community in Hurung Bunut to reawaken sustainable farming practices and provide alternative incomes for the villagers. She is the head of a farmer group in her village and hopes her initiatives will help to restore degraded land formerly used for illegal gold mining.
