Marie Andrée is an experienced natural resources manager working at South Pole. She is driven by her ambition of supporting communities affected by climate change and enabling them to effectively adapt. Her work at South Pole focuses on strengthening adaptation and promoting resilient strategies, which not only support the affected communities and their livelihoods but also the ecosystems they live in.
Previously, she worked at the Private Institute for Climate Change Research (ICC) in Guatemala as a Watershed and Climate Change Adaptation Specialist. There she focused on researching and strengthening farmers’ capacities to adapt to climate change as well as promoting forest landscape restoration in the southern region of Guatemala. Marie Andrée holds a master’s degree from the University of Melbourne, Australia with a specialization in climate change.
