Keith Cressman is the Senior Locust Forecasting Officer at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (UN FAO). For nearly 34 years, he has been providing forecasts & early warning to countries as FAO’s top expert. He has established innovative early warning systems for the transboundary pests, Fall Armyworm and Red Palm Weevil. He began with FAO in Sudan during the last Desert Locust plague. Before that, he worked with USDA on cotton pests and was as a Peace Corps volunteer in Tunisia. He has a BSc (Biology) and a MSc (International Agriculture Development / Plant Protection).
